About Death Metal Poetry
Death Metal Poetry is updated frequently at a variable rate. Ideally DMP will have a new poet every 7 days. That is 52 poets a year. Ideals fail. Death Metal poetry wants irreverence and reverence to exist simultaneously within poems. Death Metal Poetry is not a entity separate from the internet and the people's minds it is comprised of. Any sentence that begins with the phrase "Death Metal Poetry is" fails to communicate in clear terms. We are in this forest together so let's build a tree house.
MASTHEAD:

Co-editor 1b
Ryan Downey studies comparative literature and soon other things. He has published poems in places where Google-bots roam. He has a cat named Sparksy.

Co-editor 2a
Ian Davisson studies English. He will probably do this for most of his life until he goes to heaven. He loves to read everybody's poems all the time.

Please note that DMP currently has a backlog of poets to publish. If your poetry is accepted it will appear sometime after the last date in the column to the right of this one. It is my job to make sure this list does not grow unreasonably long. Send your best work! Join the waiting list.

***Response time is currently slowed from "alarmingly quick" to "quick". What does this mean? If you have sent a submission and have not gotten a response within one month please query. Sometimes mail gets lost. Sometimes I get lost. Please let me know if this has happened.***
